I can't believe that this was a free event. It was so much fun and I would have happily paid. Getting to push a car that isn't yours around an autox track is amazing. Got to drive a 228i w/ m sport package. I think this may inspire me to start doing autox in my FoST. First time really coming close to hooning a RWD car too, and God damn is it fun. If I were in the market for a new car, I think I'd end up with a used 335i. BMW Marketing, you know what you're doing.

Was in the first group of the day. There's a bunch of different tracks (all the same shape). 15 people in our group. The 2 series was freakin fantastic. I expected it to be a 220i (184hp) but nope, they want you to have fun so they give you a 228i (240hp). It's really stunning what a small car like that can do. The difference in aggressive driving between FWD and RWD is also staggering. But so. Much. Fun.

to get invited to the "BMW come drive our stuff days ". I get invited almost yearly to the GM drive days and the Chrysler days also .

Go into a dealership and look around and act like you are really serious buyer that knows there stuff and will be buying in the next couple of months but also say that you also really like an audi or something like that and wait. Works every time.

Really?! How do I get on those? I happened to see the event happening from the train yesterday. Googled it, and it was just an open signup. ude.bmwusa.com was the site. Totally free signup too. They're traveling cross country I know.
